i really like the blueish circular one with the large W and S. i missed class tuesday, so i don't know what anybody else said, but i think that one looks awesome.
After going through three different themes for my magazine, I've finally settled on something: "War Stories," which will be a publication full of conversations with various elderly folk about their lives, or particularly interesting moments in these lives.
Of course this will appeal to the elderly, but my aim is actually to create something more youthful and fun, which would appeal to younger audiences and thus help perpetuate the life of these stories.

you need to work the typography on the logo more.
if i understand your intention, the letters should link in interesting ways.
